This is a list of links to OT/ICS related certificates. In no particular order and up to date as of July 2025.
International Society if Automation (ISA)
Each certificate requires you to successfully complete a course (see the page on OT/ICS Training Course) and pass the exam. Successful completion of certificate 1 is required before taking exams for certificates 2, 3, and 4. The courses and certificate exams for 2, 3, and 4 may be taken in any order.
- Certificate 1: ISA/IEC 62443 Cybersecurity Fundamentals Specialist
- Certificate 2: ISA/IEC 62443 Cybersecurity Risk Assessment Specialist
- Certificate 3: ISA/IEC 62443 Cybersecurity Design Specialist
- Certificate 4: ISA/IEC 62443 Cybersecurity Maintenance Specialist
The ISA/IEC 62443 Cybersecurity Expert certificate is awarded automatically upon successful completion of all four certificates. There is currently no expiration on the certificate once you have passed the exams.
Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC)
They have more than 40 cybersecurity certifications which align with SANS training. GIAC was founded in 1999 to validate the skills of information security professionals. They have a number of OT/ICS related certifications.
- Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional Certification (GICSP)
- GIAC Response and Industrial Defense (GRID)
- GIAC Critical Infrastructure Protection Certification (GCIP)
